PhotoImp was created to be used on any Windows-powered machine by people who work with images. The application can import images from a camera or SD card to a PC, can display locally stored images, can convert images, and more. You’ll see that from the dark-themed interface you’ll be able to easily access all the program’s functions.

The PhotoImp installer is about 10MB in size. Get the installer, run it, and you will be presented with a setup wizard. From here on, you just need to click through the wizard’s instruction and you’ll be done with the installation. The whole thing will not take much of your time, I’m quite glad to say.

As mentioned above, PhotoImp features a dark-themed interface. Said interface is divided into two panels. The one to the left displays all your drives and folders, just like Windows Explorer. Select a folder that contains images, and thumbnail previews will be displayed in the panel to the right. Double click an image to view, edit, or export it.

Here is what you can do with PhotoImp – or to put it in other words, here’s the sort of functionality you can expect to get from the application: view images, access an image’s EXIF info, rotate images, automatically enhance images, adjust an image’s colors, convert images from one format to another, resize images, add a watermark to an image, import images from a camera or SD card, set an image as the desktop wallpaper, delete images.

Please note that PhotoImp is not free, it is only free to try.

I see two reasons why you would want to go get PhotoImp: a user friendly and good looking interface and many photo manipulation functions.

Pros

Installing PhotoImp is a standard procedure. The dark-themed interface is just as easy to use as Windows Explore. You can use PhotoImp to import, export, manage, and edit images.

Cons

Trial limitations.
